What do the Navgrahas or nine planets signify?
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
THE SUN is the planetary body that makes you get up in the morning, and makes you go tour jobs or appointments or your meetings. The Sun also makes you carry on all activities in the day, related to your position in this world, Hence the SUN rules your STATUS, EMPLOYMENT, REPUTATION, EARNINGS and CREATIVE ACTIONS. Hence also if the Sun is not in harmony with you, then you will suffer setbacks in all these qualities mentioned in your life. Getting in harmony with the Sun will improve these qualities in your life. A SURUJNARAYAN PUJA or Prayer at the Sea on Sundays is recommended.
The MOON is a planetary body that rules your NIGHT LIFE, such as your sleep, your rest, the digestion and circulation of your blood, the mental condition of your mind, the menstrual cycle of women, and the ability of the body to meditate. Hence if the Moon is not in harmony with you, then you will be affected mentally, you will WORRY a great deal, you will have DOUBTS, SUSPICION, IRRATIONAL BEHAVIOR, MENSTRUAL CRAMPS, ABNORMAL BIRTHS, SLEEPING PROBLEMS, and so on. Getting harmonious with the Moon’s energy will remove all these problems. Full Moon Puja or SATNARAYAN PUJA is recommended.
The planet MERCURY creates harmony in Universe by bringing the qualities of KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING, MEDICINE, MUSIC, YOGA, HUMILITY AND RECOGNITION to this Universe. Is effect on the earth is a balancing effect since it is the closest to Sun, and VENUS, before Earth. Since Venus is the force of Love, Knowledge and Love are the balancing qualities required by the Earth, before there is complete balance. When not in harmony with an individual, Mercury will create a disconnection between the Moon, the Sun and the Person affected. This disharmony disconnects the mind (Moon) and slows the movements (SUN) of the person thus affecting his ability to learn absorb, enjoy music, good health and so on. To create harmony, ONE MUST READ Scriptural books, worship the Goddess of Knowledge, Saraswaty and have respect for all teachers, Gurus, Priests, etc.

Ganga – H²0 – water, ocean, blood, all liquids
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
There are some interesting observations about the bed of Ganges which also led many experts to propound the theory about the Gang having an artificial or man-made bed, like that of a canal. Normally the natural bed of a river is ‘V’ shaped while that of Ganga is more flat looking more rectangular in shape – the usual shape of canal beds. Another interesting fact derived from these observations is that till the Ganga reaches the plains, is has two high temples perched atop the hills on both sides of the river’s route at important places. The famous temples of Haradwar: ‘Mansa Devi’ temple and ‘Chandi Devi’ temple bear testimony to this conjecture. It appears these were some sort of observation towers, like the ones that are constructed in modern times also when a bid canal is dug. Another very peculiar feature is that all the rivers that confluence with the Gangado so always at night angles which is, again, the meeting pattern the canals dug in modern time.

Kal Bairo (the devil) meets (tempts) Jesus Christ
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
It is well known that in Guyana and Trinidad that “Kal Bhairo” or also known as “Dee Baba” is worshipped for the purpose of increasing wealth and success in business. The other forms of “Kal Bhairo” in both of these countries are known as “Land Master” or “Sanganee Baba” or “Bush Master” or simply “Master”. These so called Gods are worshipped with alcohol, cigarettes, cheese, and sacrificed animals. The souls of these animals once released become spirits with unfinished karmas. However, after this “Kal Bhairo” is worshipped, this so called deity will promote great financial profits for the worshipper. As a result, you will find that many people who worship “Kal Bhairo” tend to acquire a lot of material wealth. But before we proceed let’s take a look at the conversation between Lord Jesus Christ and Satan (Kal Bhairo).
If you compare a “Kal Bhairo” picture and a “Kal Bhairo” worshipper to an alcoholic and to Lucifer (Satan), they all have some common qualities. All of them have red eyes, dark skin, and a thirst for alcohol and meat. In the Holy Bible, it is documented that Satan met Christ and proceeded to tempt Him at least three times. In the first temptation of Christ, Satan took Christ to a high mountain and showed him the whole world and its material wealth and said to Christ, “BOW BEFORE ME AND ALL OF THIS ON EARTH WILL BE YOURS”. Christ replied, “MAN DOES NOT LIVE BY BREAD (wealth) ONLY BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDED OUT OF THE MOUTH (mantra)”.

Chakras – the seven energy generators of the body of man
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
In the human body, there are several energy centers containing latent psychic powers. These are called Chakras. If activated, they hold potential for reaching cosmic planes of existence. They can be portals into a new existence and the realization of inherent powers.
The six main chakras of the human body are the Muladhara Chakra (at the base of the spine), Svadhisthana (near the generative organ), Manipura (near the naval), Anahata (near the heart), Visuddha (near the throat), and Ajna (between the brows). A seventh Chakra, situated four fingers above the cerebrum, is Sahasrara, symbolically represented by the thousand parallel lotus. Sahasrara is said to be abode of Lord SHIVA, Cosmic consciousness, and Muladhara the seat of Shakti, whose form is that of a cosmic force known as KUNDALINI. Ultimately, Tantra Asana aims to arouse Kundalini Shakti to unite with SIVA, realizing the highest, most intense joy Mahasukla.

Sheshnaag – the serpent energy – kundalini
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
Sheshnaag is the snake, a symbolic representation of desire. Scientific studies have shown that the eye is the part of the human body through which Man makes meaning of the universe. If a man desires something, for example a woman, the desire goes from his eyes to the brain, and then moves down the spine to various parts of the body. This triggers an urge towards action or movement such as to hug, procreate, walk, or touch the woman. Similarly, if a woman desires, a man, the energy of desire will travel a path from the eyes to the brain, the spine and different parts of the body.
In the Holy Bible, the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is recorded. What did Eve offer to Adam? .Was it in reality an ‘apple? The symbolism of the FORBIDDEN FRUIT offered to Adam was the FRUIT OF DESIRE or the SERPENT ENERGY. After Adam had partaken of the FRUIT OF DESIRE and the Serpent energy was satisfied, they both became conscious of their nakedness. Once that awareness was raised, they both proceeded to hide their nakedness with fig leaves. There is no reference in the BIBLE Serpent Energy was evil. Man, through his own inference, made that assumption.
It is clear from the book of Genesis that the GARDEN OF EDEN was not on earth but in the Heavens or the Astral Plane where only the spirit-souls exist. Adam and Eve did not have a physical body, so when Eve had a desire to exist in physical from, the combined brain and spinal column with its little tail [Sheshnaag] became the foundation of her human body. Through desire she cohabited with Adam which then brought the male and female genes together to form a child which created the cycle of continuous desire. Thus was born all material desires such as wealth, children, lust, and material possessions. With the stigma of desire, they then had to leave the garden (Astral Plane) because in this dimension of paradise there were no desires. The attachment to desire meant transference to a physical dimension which meant they had to inhabit the Earth. READ MORE IN THE BOOK “SCIENCE IN THE HINDU GODS BOOK”
The creator Bramha…Saraswaty’s husband
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
BRAHMA, the creator is the consort of Saraswaty [knowledge] and together, they represent the creative force. After we obtain Knowledge, we can do anything. Knowledge takes us up to the highest level of consciousness known as Bramhaloka. Bramha sits on a lotus flower. The mystic meaning is that with knowledge we can rise above the mud and dirty water that surrounds the Lotus Flower. Knowledge makes us great advisors, helps us to make money and gives us wisdom. This state is called Brahman or Absolute.

Whos is Saraswaty – Goddess of knowledge
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
Knowledge is the remover of fear and leads to awareness, enlightenment and confidence in life. The Goddess Saraswaty governs ten [10] objects of transcendent knowledge.
The FIRST object of transcendent knowledge is Matangi, the Elephant Power, the Power of Domination, and the Night of Delusion. The elephant, king of beasts, is the mount of kings and the symbol of royal power, the power of domination. Indra, the king of heaven, is shown riding on an elephant. Siva, as the world ruler, the dispenser of justice, the embodiment of kingly virtues, the destroyer of evil, is known as the Elephant. After the terror of the night appears the reassuring sunlight. The demons are defeated. Matangi, the Elephant Power, establishes the rule of peace, of calm, of prosperity.

Narada (Narayana) – the real energy – actions of man – creation of karma
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
Narayan is the space or Universe married to Light or Energy in the form of particles or waves. Laxmi is known as light and Vishnu is Space or Universe. NAR means MAN and AYAN means GOD or that which is formless. NARAYAN means MAN connected to GOD as BODY and SPIRIT (Soul). IF there is no SPACE then there is no LIGHT, then the Universe does not exist. If there is no BODY then there is no SOUL and then man ceases to exist. The body of man is known as space and the soul or Atma is the Light. Because the marriage of the two produces ENERGY, then it logical to conclude that Energy which is materiality is produced by the marriage of MAN to SOUL. This is the same as marrying the Universe to Light, which in Hinduism is considered to be VISHNU (Mass) married to LAXMI (Light) to produce the material world as we see it. If we look at this scientifically, Einstein’s formula: E=MC (squared) where E = Energy, M=MASS (Space) and C = speed of light (Light Motion) is the same in Hinduism as E = LAXMI-NARAYANA

Laxmi – light or electromagnetic energy
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
A SCIENTIFIC VIEW OF THE FEMALE UNIVERSAL ENERGY
Laxmi is the Goddess of light and the representation of universal energy. A pictorial representation shows many hands. Out of one of her hands, money flows. This shows that she represents CASH FLOW and controls the wealth from business ventures and investment prospects. MONEY is really one form of the universal energy. In the earnings cycle, you go to work; there you expend your energy that was derived from the absorption of your food, which in turn will be converted into Labor for which the money you receive will be the measure. When this energy is not earned properly and not spent in a thoughtful and respectful manner, then the energy becomes destructive. MONEY is really light energy. It brightens people’s lives and so it must flow all the time so that the universe may function. The hoarding of money will affect the continuity of the Universe. A good way to understand this is as follows: You go to work, get paid, buy your grocery, cook your food, eat your food and use the energy so derived to go to work again.

Vishnu – The universe itself, space or mass
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
Vishnu, the Preserver of the universe, represents space. The word itself means the Great Omnipresent. He is reclining on the snake [Ananta] on the Milky Ocean. The snake represents cosmic energy and the ocean of milk stands for beatitude [Ananda]. Vishnu’s color is sky-blue, indicating his infinitude. He is Achyuta, because there is no rise or fall for him. From his navel arose the creative power in the form of the four-faced Brahma. The Chakra or discus in one of the upper hands of Vishnu symbolizes the cycle of time (Kala-chakra). The whirling brings in consolation as well as revenges, according to Varaha Purana. The Chakra is also described as the Dharmachakra, maintaining orderliness and proper functioning of the Universe. Hindu Gods are symbolisms of scientific forces
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
One should keep in mind that, in the fields of religion and philosophy, for Sanskrit words the Hindus make use of symbolic etymologies distinct from the grammatical ones. A basic meaning is attributed to each syllabic sound, and the meanings of the syllables that form a word combine to express an idea that can be completely different from the etymological meaning of the word. In translating certain terms I have often chosen this symbolic meaning since this is the meaning that is important in practice and that alone can explain the use of those words in a particular context.
In the LANGUAGE OF SYMBOLS any attempt at representing something in terms of something else requires a system of equivalences. The representation of one order of things in terms of another is made with the help of real or arbitrary equivalents known as symbols. To represent a crop in terms of quantity we have to use symbols, which are numbers. To represent ideas in terms of sounds we must use symbols, which are words; to represent words graphically we have to use symbols, which are characters. A symbol is a perceptible, analogical representation of a thing or an idea. Language is merely a particular form of symbolism. Writing, probably everywhere originally conceived as ideograms, is essentially symbolical.
A symbol can be natural or conventional. The direct relation of one order of things with another, the intersection of two worlds, of two aspects of existence, is the origin of natural symbols. In the Hindu cosmological theory symbolism is conceived as the expression of a reality, as a search for the particular points where different worlds meet and where the relation between entities belonging to different orders of things may become apparent.
According to the Hindu view, all the aspects of the manifest world spring from similar principles–have, we might say, a common ancestry. There is of necessity some sort of equivalence between the abstraction of the subtle and transcendent worlds on one side and the forms of the perceptible universe on the other.
The astronomical phenomena can be considered as basic symbols. We can find in them a figuration of universal principles. True symbolism, far from being invented by man, springs from Nature (prakrti – the physical universe). The whole of Nature is but the symbol of a higher reality.
What we picture as the aspects of divinity are essentially the abstract prototypes of the forms of the manifest world. These must, by their very nature, have equivalents in all the aspects of the perceptible universe. Each divine aspect thus may appear to us as having affinities with some particular form, number, color, plant, animal, part of the body, vital energy, particular moments of the cycles of the day, of the year, of aeons, particular constellations, sounds, rhythms, etc. It may appear that the Hindus worship many Gods, but the real position is different. Each god when worshipped is conceived as the manifestation of the one Almighty God. In philosophical term this may be called Henotheism.
Propitiation of these divine manifestations who are in human forms assists the worshipper enormously in acquiring godly qualities like, spirit of sacrifice, patience, concentration and then love for God which are absolutely necessary to realize that One. Without this sort of gradual process one can hardly think of an
Infinite God with a finite mind, or like Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita the worshipper will be frightened even if the Great God appears before him with His all- powerful glamour.
Now the question comes for many, who is God? Or what is God? The answer is the same as the question. It is not who or what is God but what does the sound or the word G-O-D or the word God represents. In Hindu philosophy (not religion) a set of rules indicate that God represents the universe and all its forces which are beyond the control of man from a physical point of view. An example is ‘oxygen.’ Everyone knows that we cannot live without oxygen for a few minutes. Since we constantly need oxygen, then obviously we must treat it as a divine or powerful force to the point of worshipping it.
In this case worshipping meaning take care, and preserve it so we can continue to exist. Other examples are fire, light, heat, the sun, the moon, and gravity, etc. We would not be able to exist without any of these universal forces. So, would you consider these forces divinely important? Are they godly in nature? Vedic science tells us that light can be humanly represented as a female energy called LAXMI and the universe itself be represented by a male energy and called VISHNU. Vedic rules propound that VISHNU must be married to LAXMI thus implying a rule already there which is simply interpreted as…..CAN THE UNIVERSE (DARK) BE OBSERVE WITHOUT THE FORCES OF LIGHT OR ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY? Similarly BRAHMA known as the creator and SARASWATTIE known as knowledge are married together…..CAN WE CREATE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE THAT IS…..CAN BRAHMA EXIST WITHOUT SARASWATTIE? A similar inference can be drawn be matching all the other deities in Vedic science such as SHIVA and DURGA, RAM AND SEETA, KRISHNA AND RADHA and others.
Based on the rules from the Vedic sciences and the Puranic explanations of the universal rules of life it is logical to conclude from the above that the planets that affect us with their tremendous gravitational and electromagnetic forces can be considered divine or godly also. It has already been proven that the whole solar system exist in an equilibrium created by the nine major planets, asteroids and the sun and that each planet affects each other orbit around the sun. Surely it is safe to conclude that without these celestial bodies in space we are unable to function fully without the experience of the seasons, the tides ‘controlled by the moon’ and the agricultural balance. It is this reason why we are subjected to the astronomical forces around us. Some people call this ‘ASTROLOGY.’ However, the Hindus prefer to address it as a Vedic science similar to the western way of scientific analysis but of a much higher nature of understanding. Of course physicists in the west are not able to apply conventional scientific rules to this type of science because the Vedic scientific rules go beyond the realm of quantum theory and today’s Science.
Astrology and astronomy are interrelated; one cannot exist without the other because even astronomers try to predict the future except in astrology it is done without the use of much mathematics.
However, with Astronomy there is no specific objective or application. Scientists hope to find the origin of the Universe (God) through consistent observation of conventional rules. In Astrological Vedic science the objective is specifically to apply this science of observation (astronomy) as a measure of true or real time and how this real time applies to human life on earth so as to predict the past, the present and the future.

What is the science of the Hindu Gods?
by Swami Ram on Feb.24, 2011, under Feature
The Hindus are known for inventing the “Zero” without which modern mathematics cannot work… Every one hears about “Einstein “but very little about his colleague, “Dr. Chandra Bose who worked with Einstein to make the Atomic Bomb… How did Albert Einstein come up with the formula E=MC²?…was it because the first Hindu gods are Mass and Light combined to form Energy ….Einstein studied Hinduism…so did Newton…Did Newton know about the 7 horses of the Hindu Sun God and then discovered the 7 colors of the Rainbow…Do you know that the 9 Planets of the Solar system was worshipped long before Galileo, Kepler and other famous astronomers? Did you know that long before Pythagoras, King Alexander the Great studied the Hinduism in India after failed attempts to conquer the country?
Did you know that most of the words of the English Language were derived from Latin and Greek which has its origin from Sanskrit, the original language of Hinduism?
